HAPPY BIRTHDAY SPENCER!!!

Today was Spencer's 26th birthday. It's crazy to think that I met him for the first time when he was 16. That's 10 years! It doesn't seem that long ago. Time really does fly. It's also crazy to think about the fact that in 4 years he is going to be the big 3-0. When your a kid that seems like it will never come and it just creeps right up on you. It's all good though. Spencer has only gotten better with age. He is such a good person with a gigantic heart. He is so good to me and the kids and would do anything for us. He definitly keeps life interesting. For those of you who know him, you know what I mean. He can always get me to laugh and he is always there when I need someone to talk to. He is not only my husband, he is my best friend. I just wanted to take a minute to brag about my sweet husband on his special day. He truely is an amazing spirit. He has overcome so much is his life and everything he has went through has made him a better and stronger person. I am so very blessed to have him in my life. Happy Birthday Spencer! I love you!

Ok, now the picture explanation. Today, for Spencer's birthday, we took a trip to Sundance to go snowboarding. I thought Spencer was a little crazy wanting to go on New Years Day after staying up til midnight and dealing with the crowd, but since he was the birthday boy I left it up to him. Overall, it was a great day. We had a lot of fun together flying down the slopes. Or maybe that was just Spencer. I did a lot of falling and sitting down the slopes. I do ok for myself, but I still struggle a little. I can at least get down the hill somewhat quickly though. Spencer was kind enough to keep stopping every so often to wait for me. I told him he didn't have to, but he stayed with me the whole day. With the exception of one time. He was giving me a head start and when I got to a fork in the slopes I sat down to wait for him and he didn't come. It was our very first run down and I hadn't been in 2 years so I was pretty rusty right at first. Finally, I came to the conclusion that he had ditched me and would probably be waiting at the bottom, so off I went to find him. Finally, Spencer came flying up behind me and I came to find out that he didn't ditch me. He thought I had went off the cliff at the top because there was no way I could have made it all the way around the corner before he got there. He was looking all over for me and freaking out a little. Finally, he decided to try going further down the slope and there I was, alive and well, not going quite as slow as he thought. I was glad he didn't ditch me and he was glad that I didn't fall of the cliff. Another happy ending. Anyway, we had a great day together out on the freezing cold slopes. Sorry the pics aren't that great. It was hard to take them on the lift cause it was shakey, I was shakey, and it was windy and I didn't really want to stop any other time to take more.
