Raging Waters!!!

For the 4th of July, Spencer and I headed up to good ol' Salt Lake City. We left the kids with Grandma and Aunt Rachie so that we could have a much needed break. We had a blast! On the 4th we just headed to the park to watch the fire works. It was so crazy. There was like three park area's nearby that they did fireworks at. I thought the traffic was bad getting out of St. George's fireworks. Not even close. It was really fun though. We just enjoyed talking and laughing together. The fireworks were pretty, but we sure waited a long time for such a short show, then there was the walk to the car and trying to get home. Spencer jammed his toe into the side walk on the way back to the car and it cut it pretty good and there was a good amount of blood for a cut. Poor guy still had to walk the rest of the way to the car and we had nothing to put on it, so we just had to fight our way through traffic and wait til we were back to Valee's to bandage it up. Over all though, it was a fun night.

Then on the 5th we slept in and woke up to find Valee making us strawberry waffles, yummy! Then we got all ready and headed to Raging Waters. We had to wait outside til Valee's parents got there and their car broke down, so it took a while. We were waiting on them cause for Jordan and Valee's birthday every year they pay for everyone who goes and there were like thirty-something of us. So we made the best of it and snapped a bunch of pictures. I knew I wouldn't stop to do it inside the park, so it's good we took some outside the park. It was such a fun day. I love water parks. I could go on for quite some time about the day, but I won't. It was just so nice to get away and do something fun without having to chase kids everywhere and it was good to get together with some old friends.

This wasn't near all of us. Mostly people Spencer and I went to high school with and a few relatives of Valee's.

Anna, Valee, and Michelle...together again...what hotties!

We were trying to be creative, so of course, we did an original pyramid.

We talked the guys into showing some muscle. They all felt silly.

Then Valee, Anna and I decided to show some muscle. I ended up looking more like a gorilla. We had some good time though.

Happy Birthday Treyson!

Treyson is 2 years old!!! Can you believe it? Time just flies right by. His birthday was on July 3rd. We kept it pretty simple, but the kids had a blast. We just had dinner, then did presents and then had some cake. The kids played with all his new toys for a while until it was dark and then we went outside and did a bunch of fireworks. Treyson loved the fireworks. The loud ones scared him a little bit, but over all he kept laughing and saying pretty. It was a good night.

Treyson is such a sweet little guy. He loves to give hugs and kisses. He'll go around the room over and over and just give hugs and kisses to everyone in the room. His very favorite thing to do is to play outside. He just loves being outdoors. He takes everyone their shoes over and over and says, "Outside?". I guess he figures if he brings you your shoes you'll take him out. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. He loves to play with Addison and he loves to pick on her. I always have told her that one day Treyson would do to her what she does to him. Well, he is only two and is starting to pick on her now. Revenge is sweet. It's crazy how much he talks now. He can usually tell me exactly what he wants with out crying to get it. Every day it seems he learns new words. He is constantly surprising me by saying and doing knew things. He brings so much joy and happiness into our lives. We are so blessed to have him in our family and I look forward to seeing him grow from one birthday to the next. I wish it would go a little slower, but I will enjoy in nonetheless.

Treyson was trying so hard to blow out his candle, but wasn't having much luck, so I blew really hard from across the table and it went out and he clapped and said, YAY!

Treyson seemed to know exactly what was going on and that all the presents were for him. He was so so excited.

He got this lawn mower from Grandma and Grandpa Ehler. He absolutely loved it.

He wanted to keep playing with the lawn mower, but I made him come and help open more presents.

Treyson left to get his lawn mower after every present.

Finally, his last present! Of course I saved the best for last. He wouldn't come help me so I opened up the front so he could see what it was and, HURRAY! He actually wanted to play with something else. What was this gift you might ask, well the next picture will show you.

I knew he would love it. He loves cars. We make ramps sometimes and he drops the cars down them over and over. Every morning when he wakes up this is the first toy he goes to. The one problem we have with it, is he doesn't want to share, but we're working on it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TREYSON!!!

On Our Way Home...

We were going to go back home through Emery County, but decided that we wanted to see my brother, plus we like the drive that way a lot better. It's a beautiful drive and a lot less windy. Time wise, it's about the same, but we still decided to go through Provo. I don't get to see my brother very often and so I try to every chance I get. It's funny how things can change. He used to torture me and I didn't like him very much and now I love him and love to spend time with him. We had a nice quick dinner at the Olive Garden and then it was time to get back on our way.

Addi was in the process of saying goodbye to Uncle Dane when some emergency vehicles pulled in and went to the dollar store behind us. She got a little distracted.

Trey saying goodbye.

Spencer and Dane we flexing their muscles for a picture when someone walked out of the Olive Garden and they got embarrassed and wouldn't do it anymore. The bums!

Our 1st Visit Back to St. George

This past weekend we took a quick trip to St. George. Its a 6 hour drive and we left Friday at 7:00PM and arrived at 1:00Am. We were only able to stay until about 3:00PM on Sunday and then it was back on the road for us for another 6 hours.

Even though it was a short trip, it was very worth it. Pulling into Hurricane I kept thinking, I'm finally home. Don't get me wrong, I love Vernal, but it's not home yet. It was really sad to be a few houses down from where we used to live and know that it was someone else's house now. It was a little emotional for me. The best part of the trip was getting to see most of the people we had to leave. It kind of felt like we had just been on a long trip and had just gotten home, but my brain knew better.

We dropped Addi off at her Aunt Subrina's at 1 am and the first two picture are after we left. She was in bed and snuck out to see her cousin Kensi. They were so happy to be together again. Subrina told them she promised me that she would make Addi get some sleep, so she told them it was time to say goodnight and go to sleep. So they cuddled up and pretended to go to sleep.

I had a hard time picking just a few pictures to put on of our trip, so I put a lot of them on here. Some of them are from the Splash Park. We went there at 9:15Pm on Sat. and it was so perfect outside. The water was great. It was nice to be there with the warmth, but no sun burning down on you. The kids loved it. Treyson was constantly running up and down the steam and climbing all over the rocks. Addi was difficult to take pictures of, cause she kept running away from me, but I did manage to get some.

Before we went to the Splash Park we went to Spencer's parents house and Glade cooked us a wonderful dinner and we just played around and visited. Treyson acted a little shy around everyone at first except for Cooper and Sue Ann. He kept running up to Grandma and giving her hugs then would climb down and do it again a few minutes later. Katie put on a nice clogging show for us and then we went out and were doing tricks on Sue Ann's little exercise trap. Then we decided to try doing some cart wheels. It's all a lot tougher than it was when we were younger, but we enjoyed trying. We didn't see Spencer's parents much on Saturday cause they had to work, but we were able to have brunch with them on Sunday and we spent the afternoon looking at pictures and talking about old times. It was so nice to see everyone and get to spend some time at our home away from home.

Flaming Gorge

This was our last view of the gorge. In the original you couldn't see the bridge, it's zoomed in alot.

I'm not sure what Dane is doing. I think he wanted it to look like he was holding the dam in his hand. Didn't work out did it?

The Bridge, I thought it was cool.

When we first got out of the car. My dad yawning as usual.

The Dam

Dane talked me into jumping off a cliff. I was so nervous. The cliff was only 10-15 feet up, but the water was ridiculously cold. I had Dane on one side saying, just do it you'll be fine (kind of like Satan), then I had my dad on the other side saying your a momma, you have kids to think about, don't do it (kind of like the holy ghost). Figures I'd follow Dane. It really wasn't very dangerous or I wouldn't have done it. Pictures like this sure make me grateful for makeup and hair supplies, then there's Dane who you can't even tell he went swimming other than the towels on his arm.

Sunday Morning

Sunday morning before church, I just had to take pictures of my family cause looking at them I thought, "Man I sure got a good looking family". They were all in their church clothes looking so nice and if you know me at all, you know, I love to take pictures of everything so I just couldn't resist.

Also, I finally learned some new blogging stuff. I'm probably just a little slow, but I finally figured out how you can do more than 5 pictures a post and also how you can rearrange the pictures so there are more than one per row and on different areas of the blog. I then learned that if you have extra stuff to the side, it's harder to work it out. Silly me.

Motorcycle Fever

I think they fit well together, don't you? Spencer has had motorcycle's on his mind since we moved to Vernal, but his brother-in-law just bought a Harley, which has made his aching for one 10 times worse. This is his friends bike we were thinking of buying, but we decided to wait a while, so we can just pay cash for it. Actually, that was Spencer's choice, cause I told him he could do what he wanted.

And the rain came down...

This is behind my parents house, where they're in the process of building houses. There is now a nice big mud puddle back there that will take a while to dry up, cause let's face it, we're not in Dixie anymore. These are the hills that the kids go marching up and down when the construction workers aren't working. Now what? Not just dirty kids, but muddy kids! Oh the life of a mother!

If you look closely, you can see the drops of rain coming down in front on my car. You can also see them hitting the ground on the driveway and in the street. This is after it lightened up and stopped hailing.

This is the waterfall and river in my parents yard. Bet no one knew we had a waterfall and river in my parents yard did ya? It's practically like living in the Mountains...oh wait, we practically do!

Oh how ache to just be ridden! I ache to be cruising down the street with the wind blowing through my spokes and the sun shining down on me! That big bottom upon my saddle pushing me as hard as possible, waring us both down little by little! Oh what a wonderful life that would be! Why, oh why, can't that be me? Instead, I left all my friends behind at the shop, and for what? Now I'm stuck here, in this smelly garage with a few others that I'm nothing alike. What do they call themselves again? Mountain bikes? If the rain would only stop I'm sure I could get out of this place and fulfill my purpose! Rain, Rain, please just go away!

What a sad, sad story that was! That poor little bike. My eyes are filled with tears and my heart with grief. So, so, sad. If only the rain would stop and the sun would shine, it would bring my heart such happiness!

Ok, ok, your all probably thinking, "I think Michelle is on crack!" Well, I'll tell you the truth, I'm only bored. That's it. That's my secret, I'm just bored. This was just a way to entertain myself and hopefully give a few of you a chuckle.

The story behind the bike story goes like so. I've recently grown to love bike riding and after much research and deliberating, I decided on that cute little bike up above. It is so comfortable and much funner and easier to ride than my parents mountain bikes. After I had ridden it for the second time at the shop, I knew it was what I wanted, but I was trying to be patient and check out all my options. So, when I went to buy it, it was too late, they closed. Then it was Sunday, then on Monday, it was closed...on a monday...they were closed...what a crock! That never would have happened in St.George unless it was a holiday. Finally, on Tuesday I bought it! It was mine! We went for a nice leisurely stroll that night because we had Addi, Trey, Camber, Dawson and Dallin with us, (me and Spencer that is). Not my typical ride, but nice to all be together. I couldn't wait to start racing my mom and sister on my new cruiser. Well Wednesday rolls around and the rain just kept coming and has hardly stopped since. Last night was the only some what decent riding night, but we took the kids to Kung Fu Panda and once again, I didn't get to go. I thought, well it looks like the rain is finished, so tomorrow is the day. WRONG, I woke up to rain pouring down once again. That brings us to now, me here, rambling on, being bored, stuck in doors.

For those of you who are still reading my ramblings, which I'm sure are few and far between, don't get me wrong. I love the rain and I am grateful for it. I just want to ride my new ride.
