And the rain came down...

This is behind my parents house, where they're in the process of building houses. There is now a nice big mud puddle back there that will take a while to dry up, cause let's face it, we're not in Dixie anymore. These are the hills that the kids go marching up and down when the construction workers aren't working. Now what? Not just dirty kids, but muddy kids! Oh the life of a mother!

If you look closely, you can see the drops of rain coming down in front on my car. You can also see them hitting the ground on the driveway and in the street. This is after it lightened up and stopped hailing.

This is the waterfall and river in my parents yard. Bet no one knew we had a waterfall and river in my parents yard did ya? It's practically like living in the Mountains...oh wait, we practically do!

Oh how ache to just be ridden! I ache to be cruising down the street with the wind blowing through my spokes and the sun shining down on me! That big bottom upon my saddle pushing me as hard as possible, waring us both down little by little! Oh what a wonderful life that would be! Why, oh why, can't that be me? Instead, I left all my friends behind at the shop, and for what? Now I'm stuck here, in this smelly garage with a few others that I'm nothing alike. What do they call themselves again? Mountain bikes? If the rain would only stop I'm sure I could get out of this place and fulfill my purpose! Rain, Rain, please just go away!

What a sad, sad story that was! That poor little bike. My eyes are filled with tears and my heart with grief. So, so, sad. If only the rain would stop and the sun would shine, it would bring my heart such happiness!

Ok, ok, your all probably thinking, "I think Michelle is on crack!" Well, I'll tell you the truth, I'm only bored. That's it. That's my secret, I'm just bored. This was just a way to entertain myself and hopefully give a few of you a chuckle.

The story behind the bike story goes like so. I've recently grown to love bike riding and after much research and deliberating, I decided on that cute little bike up above. It is so comfortable and much funner and easier to ride than my parents mountain bikes. After I had ridden it for the second time at the shop, I knew it was what I wanted, but I was trying to be patient and check out all my options. So, when I went to buy it, it was too late, they closed. Then it was Sunday, then on Monday, it was closed...on a monday...they were closed...what a crock! That never would have happened in St.George unless it was a holiday. Finally, on Tuesday I bought it! It was mine! We went for a nice leisurely stroll that night because we had Addi, Trey, Camber, Dawson and Dallin with us, (me and Spencer that is). Not my typical ride, but nice to all be together. I couldn't wait to start racing my mom and sister on my new cruiser. Well Wednesday rolls around and the rain just kept coming and has hardly stopped since. Last night was the only some what decent riding night, but we took the kids to Kung Fu Panda and once again, I didn't get to go. I thought, well it looks like the rain is finished, so tomorrow is the day. WRONG, I woke up to rain pouring down once again. That brings us to now, me here, rambling on, being bored, stuck in doors.

For those of you who are still reading my ramblings, which I'm sure are few and far between, don't get me wrong. I love the rain and I am grateful for it. I just want to ride my new ride.

Photo Shoot for Mother's Day

The day we were moving, Subrina took the kids for us so we could get things done without having to chase them everywhere. She wanted to get pictures for Mother's Day presents and to get pictures of them together one last time before the move. We have stinkin' cute kids! I'll probably make special trips down to St. George for all my professional pictures cause Aunt Subrina always does such a good job.

Blast from the Past

Adam Newman, Brady Powell, and Spencer Westwood
We went back to Emery County for Brady's farewell. Brady, Adam Spencer and Jeremy Cowley were all best friends growing up and don't see each other very much anymore, so it was pretty fun to get them all together. Jeremy was there too, but him and his wife left early and we forgot to get a picture before they left, darn it. Oh well. Brady gave one of the best talks I have ever heard at a farewell and it's amazing how the gospel can change your life. Brady worked so hard to be able to go and you can see so clearly the strong spirit in him.

This was Spencer's house growing up. It's right across the street from Brady's house and Spencer had to have a picture of it. He hasn't been to Cleveland since we moved 5 years ago, so it was a little crazy going there and seeing so many people from the past. It was a really good experience though.

Superboy!

Did anyone know that there was a superhero in the family?

Treyson loved his new p.j.'s

Grandma was trying to get him to show us his muscles

Addison was teaching him how to fly. Looks like he was heading for a crash landing!

He was running around and dancing and laughing until we put him to bed. Can you guess who picked out his p.j.'s? For those who can't, Spencer did. He has always said the superman symbol stands for Spencer. Like we always say, Spencer's mini-me.

Views of Vernal

Today I went exploring in one direction of Vernal and it was so beautiful. There were so many different colors and sceneries. The lake in the collage is called Steinaker lake. It's about 7 min. away from my parents house. A little further up, probably another 7 min., is Red Fleet and there is another lake there. I didn't want to pay to go in, so I didn't get any pictures of that, but it was breathtaking from what I could see. Most of the pictures are somewhere in between. After I took the top middle picture, I was about to start driving again and out of no where a dear was running along the side of the road right by my car. He was scared, of course, and I was shocked, so by the time I got my camera back out he took off into the trees and I didn't get it. Oh well. Last was the top right and bottom right pictures, which they are the road out in front of my moms house and I just thought the different colored trees and the sky was pretty.

So that's a little of Vernal for ya.

And let's be realistic, this it was it really looked like. It was overcast and rainy, so I adjusted it some to see what it should have looked like. I actually am enjoying the rain, but it was really bright and sunny the other day, so I thought I would show you both too.

Hope you enjoyed your virtual tour of Vernal. Stay tuned for more.

Two Cute Girls!

Mommy and Addi

Just another picture of me. I have to where my glasses cause I lost my last pair of contacts and my insurance kicks in tomorrow, so I have just had to be patient.

Addison posing herself again. When we were out taking pictures today she told me that I needed to stop taking pictures of beautiful scenery and take pictures of my beautiful kids. She is so funny. We would have taken scenery pictures with us in them, but Treyson was asleep in the car and it's been kind of rainy so mud is everywhere.

Just sending a kiss for all those I miss
Muah!

I took the kids to McDonald's for lunch so they could get out and play a little out of the rain, so of course Addi was asking me to take pictures of her playing. I tried to get Treyson, but the other kids wouldn't stay out of the way long enough and then he'd run off.

Bike Ridin'

So, we've been in Vernal now for about a week and a half. Things are going really good. We miss a lot of people and things, but we're enjoying Vernal a lot too. The weather has been great and there is a lot of beautiful scenery. My dear friend Shalantie said she was interested in seeing a little of Vernal, so I'm going to work on that this week.
For tonight, My mom, my sister and I went on a bike ride through hail and back. LOL. The cold front hit and brought rain and hail with it. It actually it was an amazing ride. We knew it would be raining before we left and decided to go anyway. We just bundled up a little and took off. We all looked pretty silly.

This was after we got back. We were all pretty wet and tired. We went on quite a long ride. That's my mom's house in the background. You can't see it good, but it's a beautiful house inside and out.

We did the butt view because of my sister Rachel. She's the one with the skunk stripe. My mom's and my bike have things on the back to block most of the mud and water, but hers didn't. We did get a little, but you can't really tell. It's sad that our mom has no butt and we have well...... you can see for yourself.

More from Vernal coming soon. Or maybe later. I'm working on it either way.

Goodbye Hurricane :(

Well for those of you who don't know, we are moving to Vernal. Spencer has been living there for two weeks while we stayed down here and got everything ready to go. Wow, what a LONG two weeks. He came home last weekend, but we pretty much only had one day together. We made the most of it and spent every second together. At the end of the day we ate at Samarai 21, our favorite restraunt, since we will be six hours away from it. It was delicious as ever! We are both extremely excited and sad to be going. We know it's what is best for us at this time and we have had the Lord's complete guidence on our way. We have been here in southern Utah for 5 years and absolutely love it! We have had Spencer's amazing family with us along the way. Now we'll be near my family, which is exciting. It's pretty much a bitter, sweet situation. As long as we have our family and rely on the Lord everything will work out for the best.
We were so excited to be together again! It was only 8 nights apart, but it was quite difficult for us. We've never been apart for too long and we rely so much on one another that it almost felt impossible at times.
Addison pretty much posed herself here. She is such a funny little girl. While we were waiting to get into Samarai, she went and sat at a table outside with two couples and started a conversation with them. She told them things from us moving cause her dad got a job in Vernal to her immunization shots she had just gotten. They were really nice and talked to her like they were friends. She is not usually shy, which can be good, but yet scary if I'm not paying attention. We sure love her!
Treyson was starving by the time we finally had sat down and it still was taking time to get him some food so we gave him a lemon thinking he would spit it out right away, but it would get his mind off his hunger for a minute. Nope, he kept going at it and making hilarious faces. Finally, he took a nice bite into it rather than just sucking on it and he got the shakes and make a crazy face and leaned over to Spencer to have him take it out of his mouth. Treyson very rarely spits things out. He just leans over to you and opens his mouth and just sits there until you take it out. Usually, it's because he stuffs his mouth so full he can't swallow. Treyson is such a fun, crazy kid. We're so blessed to have him in our family.

Addi Graduated Preschool

We went to Addison's end of the year celebration tonight.
Addison is the 4th head from the last.
She was right by the garbage. Smells great, I bet.

They put a little scrapbook together for her and gave it to her along with a certificate of completion. She has loved pre-school and is so excited to be going to kindergarten.

Her class sang three songs and this one was my favorite. If you can't understand it, it says: I think your wonderful, I think your marvelous, I think your beautiful, I think your magical and filled with curiosity... and dreams.
