We're Buying a House!!!

Spencer and I are buying a house! Well, actually we're buying a duplex. I was going to wait and do a post after we closed, but I can't stop thinking about it and I'm so excited I just wanted to talk about it, or write in this case. We're hoping to be in by Christmas, but that may be pushing it so I keep trying to tell myself it will be by the first of January so I don't get my hopes up so high. We are so excited to have a place of our own. We looked at a lot of houses of all shapes, sizes, and qualities. We finially decided on a duplex. When I say dulpex, I do mean two. We are buying the whole thing and are going to rent out the other side. They are brand new

(it's supposed to be finished this week, but we'll see). It's about 1500 sq. ft. on each side. It's two stories, with 3 bed, 2 bath upstairs and everything else including a half bath is downstairs. I got to go pick out the appliances on Monday and I am so anxious now. The days are going too slowly. We feel so blessed by the way things have worked out. We are only about two blocks away from my parents and we get to stay in the same ward. We really feel that it is where we are meant to be. I am so grateful for my parents sharing their home with us for the past eight months and we love them dearly, but it's time to get back to being our own family. Anyway, I will taking some pictures after our home is all cleaned up and post them.
